 Welcome back! Today, we started the day by downloading hot potatoes to our computer. Hot Potatoes is a freeware for creating quizzes. In this application, you can create multiple-choice and short-answer questions (JQuiz), matching exercices (JMatch), ordering exercices (JMix), crossword (JCross) and gap-fill exercices (JCloze). Quizzes created with HotPot can be imported into the iCorsi3 platform. Learners are allowed to work with the exercises on line, in groups or by themselves in such a way that they get engaged in a new, interesting and funny learning experience. Feedback can be provided for right and wrong answers, as well as a hint in the form of single letters, which appear one at the time, according to student´s request. The JQuiz also gives a score which is lowered if several hints letters were requested. 

 Although it does not have an aesthetic graphics like other applications, we can say that it is a very useful application.

The other thing that makes HotPotatoes different from other applications is that, you have to download the program to your computer. Most of the tools I introduced are online programs.

Students can practice listening and comprehension choosing the correct written form in multiple-choice options, sometimes they must appeal to their knowlegde dragging to find out the correct answer. Often they have to write up their own production that can be immediately checked for mistakes. The program has hints, scores, clues, icons and other ways to boost learner participation.

My Virtual Reality Experience

Hi everyone! Today I want to talk about my recent experience that I loved : Virtual Reality. Virtual Reality is a computer-generated simulation of a three-dimensional image or environment that can be interacted with in a seemingly real or physical way by a person using special electronic equipment. Virtual reality is an artificial environment that is presented to the user in such a way that the user suspends belief and accepts it as a real environment. You can experience it so extreme that it sometimes can make you sick. Virtual reality sickness occurs when exposure to a virtual environment causes symptoms that are similar to motion sickness symptoms.The most common symptoms are general discomfort, headache, stomach awareness, nausea, vomiting, pallor, sweating, fatigue, drowsiness, disorientation, and apathy. Tools:Socrative

We have a new addition to our tools family: Socrative! Socrative  is a cloud-based student response system developed in 2010 by Boston-based graduate school students. It allows teachers to create simple quizzes that students can take quickly on any device that they have (laptops,computers,smartphones,tablets)  You have 3 options to create a quiz:multiple choice, true/false, short answer. This platform helps students to learn anywhere and how they want. Every student is different and they can take the tests however they want. To some students, true or false is a good way to learn but according to some students, it makes the learning process harder and they become confused. You can keep track of your students and take notes of their progress. It makes the feedback process easier and you get to know the every individual student. I created a quiz with using the true/false technic and I enjoyed it very much.
